Wet Thud: December 2020

2020. It's been...a year. For many of us, it was the year society turned sideways. Musically speaking, whether it was in reaction to the uncertainty of world events or not, 2020 saw Wet Thud listening to less new music than in most years, perhaps subconsciously retreating to the safe familiarity of nostalgia in favour of pursuing the unknown. Nevertheless, a number of current releases did blip on our radar, and so Wet Thud is pleased to present our annual tally of our favourite songs from the past year...the past, interminable, blighted, stupid, eventful year.

Like everything else in 2020, Wet Thud's lists have changed -- with the understanding that virtually nobody cares what you consider to be the 54th greatest song of a given year, let alone the 93rd, we've culled our list from the usual hundred down to a merciful Top 50.
