Video Flow, Vol. 16

Howdy everybody;
It's Friday afternoon, and that means it's time (once again) for me to round up the twenty most interesting new music videos I caught online this week. In this edition of Video Flow, the latest from Jónsi, Rihanna, Colin Stetson, Mary J. Blige, the Maccabees, and more.

We've got new clips from two Animal Collective offshoots this week, courtesy of Panda Bear and Prince Rama, and a video from electro project Motor featuring Depeche Mode's Martin Gore on vocals.

There's also loads of new hip-hop vids this week, featuring the likes of Drake, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, Game, Lil Wayne, Asher Roth, Tyler the Creator, Young Jeezy and more.

Plus, covers galore! Three, that's right, three promos from that Franz Ferdinand covers EP, including ESG, Stephin Merritt, and...wait for it...LCD Soundsystem! But first, let's start things off with one of my favourite cover versions of the year. James Blake's gorgeous take on Joni Mitchell's "A Case Of You" finally has an official video, and here it is:

Video Flow, Vol. 15

Hey kids, welcome to this week's edition of Video Flow. The holidays may be a slower time in terms of good new albums coming out, but there's still plenty of quality new videos to be had. This week, the latest from Foster The People, Lana Del Rey, Mayer Hawthorne, and lots more.

There's a couple of interesting cover tunes to check out, courtesy of Holy Ghost! (with help from The Juan MacLean and LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang) rejuvenating some vintage Ministry, as well as Trent Reznor and his soundtrack companion Atticus Ross taking on Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" with assistance from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O.

But first, let's begin with the new ones from two of Canada's finest exports. Despite being released in the summer of 2010, Arcade Fire are still issuing videos from their album The Suburbs--this time for standout track "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" (Note: be sure to check out the cool interactive version of the video at this website.) And to get us started, the latest from David Comes To Life--just named SPIN Magazine's Album Of The Year--here's Fucked Up with "Turn The Season."
